Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has been finally decorated with his Goal King award for last season in the UAE top flight.

The 28-year-old emerged winner of the award for the third consecutive time after scoring 29 goals for Al Ain.

Gyan two less than his previous season’s tally of 31 despite playing more games.

His lowered striking rate was however good enough to beat Al Wahda’s Sebastian Tagliabbue who finished the season on 28 goals.

Gyan was presented with his Golden Boot award on his return from international duty with the Black Stars where he scored two goals in the two games he played against Guinea to help Ghana retain its pole POSITION towards qualification to the 2015 AFCON.

The Black Stars captain has proved to be a hit buy after his shock move from Sunderland in 2011 – initially on a season’s-long loan deal.

He made his move permanent after helping Al Ain to the UAE title and also clinching the first of his three top scorer awards.
