‘Sarkodie’s mother almost stopped him from doing music’ – Pharuk Jbreal...
Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Pharuk Jbreal has highlighted one of the setbacks Sarkodie faced which almost stopped him from chasing his dream back in the days.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, the rapper, popularly known as ‘Pressure’ and now based in Chicago, recalled how Sarkodie’s mother told popular Ghanaian producer, Nana Fynn never to allow his son record in his studio.
According to Pulse Ghana, the veteran act further explained what he meant by the tweet:
‘I happen to know Sarkodie before he became a big star. He hasn’t changed in terms of character, he is not into drugs and lives quite a decent life. It is obvious that his mum is proud of what her son has turned out to be. ‘I have seen her at some of his events and it says it all. I can understand his mother’s concerns at that time, there are quite some disturbing stories about musicians out there and as a mother you can only be vigilant and look out for your child.’...
