Ghanaian celebrities Obrafour, Sarkodie, John Dumelo, Stephen Appiah among others, have come out with their clothing line and the latest to join the fray is hiplife artiste, Guru, with his unisex clothing.
The Lapaz Toyota hitmaker will soon launch his clothing line, Guru Collections, for ladies and Guru Wears for men made by Moka designs in Germany.
According to him, the men’s collection would include jeans, footwear and jackets while the ladies’ will include shoes, skirts, T –shirts and African designs.
Guru told Daily Graphic that he felt it was time his numerous fans wore his collection hence the reason for the clothing line.
Apart from his fans wearing his clothes, Guru says he would be wearing his own clothes anytime he is on or off stage.
“I want to wear my own clothes to push my brand higher even though I am already a star. My fans want it and I am ready to give it to them soon,” he said. Asked whether he cloud sustain it since some celebs who ventured into fashion fell off the wagon along the line, Guru pointed out that his management team is very serious in making his clothing line a household name.
“I know many artistes have failed to make their clothing lines work but Guru will prove a point, very soon, Ghanaians will wear my clothes and I am very serious about it,” he noted.
