She dished on her relationship with Meek Mill, Lil Wayne’s $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and whether or not Tyga was supposed to appear on her newly released single, ‘Truffle Butter.’
Nicki and Meek have been packing on the PDA lately and she confirmed that the two are more than friends. ‘We’re just super compatible and just be having fun together.
When the kid do it, the kid gets it done, nah mean?’ She also weighed in on Lil Wayne and Birdman’s ongoing beef; ‘I don’t think it’ll ever get to that point. People know that I love Wayne and I have loyalty towards him, but I love Baby too.
I’m very close to Baby, and I don’t think people know that,’ she said. ‘I am banking on the fact that they’re gonna work this out like family. They’ve gone through things before just like family does and it is what it is. They gonna get through it.
I’m not even gonna think that way.’ She is unsure if there will be a video for ‘Truffle Butter,’ which is the No. 1 urban and rhythmic song in the U.S. ‘When a song is that successful without a video, I don’t really know if we need one,’ she said.
‘It was just for the streets, for the love, and we weren’t really gonna shoot a video, to be honest.’ She also addressed reports that Tyga was supposed to appear on ‘Truffle Butter.’
‘We don’t know how, but it magically ended up in Tyga’s hands. I told him, I was like, ‘You know that’s my song.’ A version with Tyga ended up leaking online, although Tyga insists it wasn’t he who leaked it. ‘Low and behold, it leaked with him on it after I told him not to put it out and I thought that was a little bit disrespectful ’cause I had always shown him love,’ she said.
‘I had always done stuff with him, took him on tour with me, and I thought it was disrespectful ’cause I am the queen of Young Money.’ But Tyga texted her after and apologised.
‘He said, ‘You always were there for me.’ And I respected him for saying that because one thing about me, I’m a very forgiving person,’ she said....
