The era when sex was used to get roles and other benefits is gradually being replaced with skin colour.<br /><br />What one must have to be a movie star in Ghana is to be light skinned. Any other thing aside being a light skinned is a plus.<br /><br />Sadly,
 the above is no longer a view, it is happening. Producers are now 
casting these light skinned actors at the expense of the dark skinned 
actors.<br /><br />Actress and producer of the award winning movie “Double 
Cross”, Ama K. Abebrese has been campaigning against bleaching and the 
need to maintain one’s skin colour.<br /><br />She was on the The Late Night Celebrity Show on eTV last Monday.<br /><br />Speaking
 on the view that light skinned actors rule the Ghana Movie Industry, 
she said she doesn’t agree with the notion that “if you are not fair in 
the industry then you don’t get casted for roles.”<br /><br />She continued 
that, “If you look at other industries. Looking at the world in general,
 everyone wants to copy what’s happening around them. Lupita Nyong’o is 
doing great in Hollywood. Viola Davis is doing great and the Nigerian 
lady in Orange is The New Black too is doing very well.”<br /><br />She added on that, there is enough room for everybody in the industry.<br /><br />“If
 you want to think only lights skin people get roles in this industry; I
 don’t think that’s true. There’s enough room for everybody. And my 
campaign is about accepting your natural skin color and not falling for 
bleaching or toning to look lighter.”<br />

The announcement was made after a team of acknowledged and credited 
media personalities who run UK's C. Hub magazine made it public in their
 recent magazine edition. <br />

The award winning actress and TV producer was listed among 100 most 
influential people of the era 2014/15. A feat she truly cherishes being 
listed alongside women such as Diana Tambe, Chika Nancy Ike, Theodora 
Ibekwe, and Bishop Dr. Dawn Wills-P. <br />

of two men who have the courage to fight back against corruption and 
false prophets. A disillusioned reporter and a young, reformed assistant
 Pastor attempt to save the lives of children accused of witchcraft.<br />

 'The Cursed One', is produced Nicholas K. Lory ( Zissou Productions )and directed by Nana Obiri Yeboah of ''Nana Means King Fame'', a Ghanaian based in the UK.<br />
