The Planning Committee of the 3rd annual Ghana DJ Awards is 
proud to announce that entries for the 2015 edition are open and DJs are
 invited to submit their entries for mixtapes and other performances 
between October 2013 and November 24, 2014. 
 
 
DJs can enter online at www.theghanadjawards.com Submissions are open from November 19th and close on December 24.

The third Ghana DJ Awards will consist of 24 categories, of which 22 
are open for entries. According to Ken Addo, executive member of the 
Ghana DJ Awards, entries received will be screened for compliance with 
the award rules and also to ensure that the entries were submitted in 
the correct category.

“The purpose of this process, known as vetting, is to ensure that 
each entry is eligible and not at risk of disqualification later. The 
sorting committee of the Ghana DJ Awards will perform this function. No artistic or technical judgments are made about entries at this stage,” he said.

After submission, qualifying entries will be sent to the judges for 
adjudication. All the categories in the awards, with the exception of 
non-voting categories, are adjudicated by a panel of judges in 
accordance with the defined guidelines.“The public is not involved at 
this stage at all,” Ken stressed.

He added that there is a different panel of judges for each category,
 but depending on the particular expertise of a judge, such a judge may 
serve on more than one panel. The panel of judges is reviewed annually. 
They are selected according to their expertise in their respective 
fields.

Final nominations will be announced at the Main Launch of the 2015 
Ghana DJ Awards in January. The judging vote will count 70% while the 
public vote will count 30%.

Ghana DJ Awards, the premier program celebrating and adding value to 
DJ culture in Ghana, is aimed at highlighting contributions DJs have 
made to Ghanaian music distribution & promotion by playing on radio,
 endorsing & putting songs out to be enjoyed by the masses.

The awards ceremony is set to hold at the <a class="zem_slink" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=5.5543,-0.1933&spn=0.01,0.01&q=5.5543,-0.1933%20%28Accra%20International%20Conference%20Centre%29&t=h" rel="geolocation" target="_blank" title="Accra International Conference Centre">Accra International Conference Centre</a> on Saturday February 21 under the theme AMPLIFIED. ‘The Mercury Republic’ Organizers of 
Ghana DJ Awards, has released the 2015Ghana DJ Awards categories to the 
general public in a very short but colorful media briefing at the 
Aphrodisiac Night club in Accra last Saturday. 
 
The organizers of the event,this time introduced a brand new award 
category for ‘Pub DJ award of the year’ to honor the numerous DJs doing 
magnificent works in the various pubs in the country. 
 
Founder of the Ghana DJ Awards, Mercury Quaye, in his address entreated 
all Ghanaian DJs to contribute to this year’s event and also help to 
promote the works of the Ghanaian DJs to the international market. 
 
The 3rd edition of the Ghana DJ Awards which seek to celebrate and award
 hardworking Ghanaian DJs who have helped in numerous ways to promote 
Ghanaian music is on the theme the ‘Amplify’ and the finale event is 
expected to come off on the 21st of February 2015 at the Accra 
International Conference Center.
