‘Shop For Charity’ After Thought...
It was all fun at the maiden edition of the Pumpkins Charity Fair dubbed, ‘Shop for Charity’.
The event, put together by the Pumpkins Foundation, a Non-profit Organization in Accra took place at the Aviation Social Center and Alisa Hotels respectively with an array of products and services on display.
Executive Director of the Pumpkins Foundation, Baisiwa Dowuona-Hammond said the fair was to raise funds to support a School Building and Library project for Tupa M/A School in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The Charity fair was graced by families and individuals from diverse backgrounds who showed their love and support for the worthy cause by making purchases and donations to the foundation.
With the aim of raising funds for charitable causes, the foundation seeks to improve the well being of children, especially underprivileged ones to enable them reach their full potential and empower them to be agents of change to help their own.
For this reason, the Charity Fair engaged the children present in mind-blowing games such as Tribond Kids game, Brain Tug-of-war, Scrabble and other fun games including Musical Chairs, Bouncy Castle, face painting and many others.
We express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who supported to make the fair very successful, especially our sponsors and media partners.
There will also be a Fund Raising Dinner to auction some products and art works put together by basic and senior high school students on the 11th of October, 2014 at Alisa Hotel in Accra.
The fundraising events would however, be climaxed with a Grand Charity festival featuring a host of sporting events and other fun games as well as performances by top artistes in the month of November.
