The old girl of Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School in her talk gave account of her journey through the showbiz industry as a former radio presenter and currently a TV presenter, actress and musician.

Amanda Jissih sharing her success story with students of the school said it was not achieved on a silver platter. She added that some of her colleague public figures went through hell but with determination and hard work, we see them today as persons who have never suffered in life.

“People ask for loans and if you don’t get it for them, they become your enemies because every day they see you change clothes and they think it is always well. It is only well because we are hoping that it will be well by God’s grace but not because we have fat amount of money somewhere.”

“I wake up in the morning, walk out and wash my car. The fame is big but how much do you earn for you to hire a house help, you just have to do everything yourself. You even end up blessing yourself when you do all these things”

She named Nana Ama Mcbrown and other celebrities as public figures who are rich but are down to earth. She said told that students that “there are lots of celebrities who are doing that, don’t let the fame eat into your mind so much, it will destroy you”

“I’m not telling you lies, fame is good but it can destroy you”
