Portugal striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the third highest scorer in Real Madrid history with 290 goals as he made his 281st appearance for the Spanish club.

The three time Ballon d’Or winner and current holder of the World Player of the Year, achieved the landmark with a goal after Karim Benzema opened scoring in the 2 – 0 victory against Elche on Sunday, February 22, 2015.

 Cristiano Ronaldo, who was formerly on 289 goals, is now level with the Galacticos legend, Carlos Santillana as he edges closer to the second and first on Madrid’s highest goal scorer’s list, the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano who has 307 goals with 392 appearances and former Real Madrid captain, Raúl González who has 323 goals from 741 appearances respectively....
