Then on Sunday, he left the house, strolling around the area, then about 100 metres from our house, he collapsed and fell.”

“He was then rushed to Inkoom Hospital on the Spintex Road with the help of neighbours in a taxi. We did not even know something like that had happened, so we got a call from the neighbours that KB had been rushed to the hospital so we quickly went to the hospital.

Mr Ampofo said his brother was later transferred to Lekma Hospital where “he was pronounced dead on arrival. We didn’t believe them so [we] asked another doctor to check again, we shook his body several times but it was confirmed that he is dead.”

Asked about the cause of death, Mr Ampofo noted that KB never complained of any sickness and they don’t know why he collapsed.

He said they did not believe they had lost their brother saying “We didn’t want to accept that we had lost Ghetto KB.”

Mr Ampofo however revealed that they took the mortal remains of Ghetto KB to the 37 Military Hospital Monday for an autopsy and they will communicate the cause of death as soon as it is made known to the family.

Ghetto KB played the role of ‘Ntikuma’, son of Kwaku Ananse of popular Ghanaian folk tales ‘By the Fire Side’.

He has performed on prominent stages like Akon Live in Ghana concert, appeared three times on Joy FM’s Night with the Stars and has collaborated with big acts like Samini, Obrafour, and Kaakie.

He signed on the Xtra Large Music label, same label as dancehall artiste Kaakie, in September 2012.

Ghetto KB died at age 30.

Source: myjoyonline.com
A brotherly conversation it was, fully of joy.

“We all are in to support on the best way we can. If there’s any help you think you need, please do communicate through authority and we will always be available. As the case is in court, we wait for positive results. We wish to see Kwaw come out soon, our main agenda,” Samini added.

Kwaw Kese was very happy to see the HighGradeFamily crew visit him. He almost jumped from his seat to hug Samini. According to Kwaw Kese,

“I am very happy to see my brother (Samini) and all of you come here all the way from Accra to see me. Samini has always been there for me over the years and he is still here with me in such challenging times. It means a lot to me. Sarkodie, Hammer and others also came through to see me here.

I am very honoured. I am healthy and doing good. I believe everything happens for a reason. I can only pray things get sorted so I come out. God has a will for everything, no fears at all. Again I want to thank everybody putting in their effort to see me out of here. The Swedru brothers and sisters who have been out to plead for my release, I am grateful but I want them to be calm. All the social media support, even though I haven’t read them I have heard about it all. I feel loved. What I want to say is, I want the youths out there to keep it positive and remember God rules. I am fine. Big up yourself Samini. Big up Tony Pun. Brainy Beatz, Eugene I feel the love.

Thank you all. Let’s pray for the best soon.”

The prison authorities were happy to see Samini come through to see Kwaw Kese. Mammoth crowd was already waiting to see Samini after the visit. Like always, they wouldn’t allow Samini go unless they take photographs with him. Samini forced a hard smile across his face taking the photographs, one can still read the grief within Samini on Kwaw Kese’s case.

But the best is what we all pray for. Saminifest starts on December 3rd. Kwaw Kese was one of the artistes billed earlier to perform on the show (before the unfortunate happened to him).

“We Respect Samini, That Is Why We Perform His Songs” Says Bull Dog

With the long-standing rivalry between Shatta
Wale and Samini still raging on, it's quite strange
and incomprehensible for any of them to perform
the songs of the other on any platform but
surprisingly, that's exactly what the Dancehall
King, Shatta Wale has been doing in recent times.
At the GH-UK Dancehall Clash, reigning Artiste of
the Year, Shatta Wale performed Samini's ''Linda''
to the amazement of his fans and all other people
who attended the event. With reasons for his
action not known, Shatta Wale left his fans
wandering what he had in mind performing
Samini's song but as if that's not enough, Shatta
Wale has taken the rivalry and controversy
between himself and Samini a notch higher.
On Friday October 31, 2014 at the Accra Sports
Stadium where Tigo held its historic Tigo Music
Unplugged concert to officially outdoor its new
Deezer music app, Shatta Wale again stunned the
audience when he performed Samini's ''gyae shi''.
Earlier on, the likes of Akoo Nana, 4x4, Davido,
MzVee, Guru, Sarkodie and other artistes had
taken their turns to perform to the huge crowd at
the stadium.
In an exclusive interview with Sammy Flex on Flex
on Pluzz on 89.9fm over the weekend, the Events
Manager of Shatta Wale, Lawrence Nana Asiamah
Hanson, a.k.a Bulldog admitted that his artiste
performed Samini's 'Linda'' and ''gyae shi'' at the
GH-UK Dancehall Clash and Tigo Music
Unplugged respectively noting that Shatta Wale
only did that out of the love and respect he has for
Samini as an artiste.
When asked if he was aware of the legal
implications of Shatta Wale's action, Bulldog
agreed in the affirmative and noted that the
management team of Samini has the right to seek
legal action against Shatta Wale for performing his
(Samini's) song but reiterated that Shatta Wale did
that out of the love and respect he has for Samini.
Bull dog was however unable to confirm if Shatta
Wale would again perform any of Samini's songs
at any concert but was quick to add that Shatta
Wale is an artiste full of surprises and capable of
doing anything on any stage or platform.
At Tigo Music Unplugged music concert, in as
much as Sarkodie performed creditably well, I
must admit that Shatta Wale was the man of the
night. Other artistes who performed on the night
did well except for Akoo Nana, who disregarded
the dignity of women, disrespected himself and
brought shame onto the music industry when he
came on stage with female dancers who had their
breasts uncovered. The dancers were later on
whisked off the stage.
Akoo Nana noted that he brought the female
dancers on stage to champion a Breast Cancer
Awareness Campaign when he was interviewed by
Sammy Flex on Flex on Pluzz on 89.9fm even
though at the stadium, he never said a word with
respect to Breast Cancer.
By FLEX NEWSPAPER

Promoting his new video Violate with Jamaican act Popcaan on ETV Ghana, he
“Had a wakeup call that it had been ten years after Linda dropped as a single and a lot had been achieved in this ten years of music, business, charity and life.

“I believe its hard work, staying focus, positive attitude to work and divine blessing that has gotten me and the team this far.”
Answering Giovani’s incisive question about Dancehall crown, the Odohitmaker seemed he wasn’t ready to relinquish the crown anytime soon.
“The Dancehall Kingship is not a position available for competition or something you earn by votes. Coming up, my inspiration was African Dancehalland I was the first person who thought of the phrase African Dancehall and I called myself the king of what I had found. It means I’m King of what I started and not king over anybody per se. I got people who got inspired by what I was doing and it helped them to create music they were also comfortable to perform.”
Responding to the ten million suit against his competition Shatta Wale;Samini, from a lay man’s point of view thinks:

“His approach was harsh and that’s what called for their [Charterhouse’s] reaction. When I heard someone was trying to take such an amount from a fellow artist, I was shocked at first. Then getting to the afternoon, I realized it was true. In the morning I was laughing when I heard it but felt really bad for that fellow later when I realized it was true because I wouldn’t want to see anyone go down even if that person was my enemy. Because truth is, I find him a competitor in the same field.
“You can be pushing down an old lady’s pot of water every time because you know she can’t do anything about it, one day you will push the pot down and realize the content was palmwine tapped by macho sons and grandsons of the old lady and you will have to pay for it”.
Opening up on his relationship with the self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Samini was not happy with his rival pretending they had been friends:

“There was a fabrication he put out earlier that we used to be very close but everyone who grew up in Dansoman knows that wasn’t the story.”He told Giovani.
“The first time I met him was when Obuor was going to go on his Tour ObuorDotCom and Obuor was playing me his album and I heard a deep voice singing a hook. I asked whose voice that was and he mentioned that was a chap named Bandana and he was trying to help him. I said he sounded good and Obuor should have giving a verse in addition. That was how Obuor introduced him to me, so when I did my tour in 2004 I put him on based on what Obuor had told me about him, so that’s how I knew him. From the way he made it look we were very close is surprising because when he is called to prove, I’m not sure he will be able to prove it.”
“I have giving him chances to sit so we trash out our difference even on another media platform and he agreed but later went on to make a song he titled No Sitting calling the truce off.”
Samini reasoned with his comrades outbursts in the last few weeks to an extent saying;

“He is fighting a very just cause with the wrong approach but the way to go is to be remorseful and apologize to whomever it is he has offended.”
The Late Nite Celebrity Show airs at 9.30PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ETV Ghana.
