The 16th editions of the VGMA nominees jam took off yesterday 21st March in Cape Coast, Central Region. Rashid Metal Responds to Stonebwoy

<p dir="ltr">The “Zaafi Empire” music act Rashid  Mettal has accused Stonebwoy and the “Burninton Movement” of conspiracy with a group of people to hoot at him during his performance at the Kasapreko Margarita beach concert last week.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The act by the purported and supposed fans and admirers of the afro dancehall artist where spotted wearing t shirt with Stonebwoy and “BHIM Nation” encrypted in them.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Rashid Metall has also disclosed that, the so-called fans of Stonebwoy present at the beach concert were hired and paid huge sum of money to roar at him  during his performance. They also disclosed that, a deliberate action was embarked on to wipe out the Rashid Metal brand by consciously interacting his performance.</p>
<p dir="ltr">This follows a beef between the two dancehall artistes, were as Rashid Mettal is accusing Stonebwoy of pilfering “Baafira”, a slogan he initiated.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The management of Rashid Metal has express total disappointment and apprehension towards Stonebwoy and his management for purporting such a pessimistic act towards a fellow dancehall artiste. The No Noise family has urged their fans to keep supporting Rashid Mettal for authentic dancehall music.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Kasapreko Margarita beach concerts came-off on the 25th January, 2015, powered by Kasapreko Company Limited to officially outdoor their new line of product at the La Pleasure Neach. Other artistes who performed include Samini, Guru, Keche and a host of underground artistes.</p>

Ghanaian Dancehall Artiste Stonebwoy has a message for Shatta Wale and all the upcoming dancehall artistes in Ghana who are noted for “dissing” other dancehall artistes to either get fame or “maintain” fame. <br />

Shatta Wale dissed Samini in the Song (Letter to Samini) and dancehall queen Kaakie before apologizing to her in the song (Letter to Kaakie). It’s also believed that Shatta Wale’s diss Song “Grow Up” was directed to Stonebwoy. <br />

Even though Stonebwoy didn’t mention any artistes name on stage,it’s quite clear who he was driving the message to. He told fans that he is on top of the game now because he never dissed his predecessors ie. Shasha Marley,Yoggi Doggy,Black Prophet,Sonni Balli etc and also none of the dance hall artistes in the system now.<br />

 Upcoming Dancehall artist, Rashid Metal is out promoting his Baafira single.<br />.<br /><br />"The term means silence, action speak louder than words. He made it know that he is solely into Dancehall but his track has a mix of Afro beat in it. And I call it Afro Dancehall.<br /> "Nobody can do typical Dancehall more than a Jamaican and Dancehall is not accepted in Ghana so I mixed it with Afro Beat."<br /><br />Rashid Metal has been in the industry professionally for 10 years;<br />"I was then with Shatta Wale and I have followed most of the Dancehall artist in Ghana. That has made me gain a lot of experience in Dancehall."<br /><br />"I recently had a problem with Stonebwoy who used the Baafira word that I had registered." He revealed"I was expecting him as a senior artist to have at least called me to about him using the word in his song. I registered the word three months ago and he released his song a month ago.<br /><br />"I have tried to reach him and his management but they are not responding. I have replied him with a track which is out there apart from this I have no problem with him."<br />In reply to why he is using a track to reply Stonebwoy but not using dialogue he said "That is Dancehall, it is all part of the game".<br /><br />

Dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy has conveyed his malaise in a post on facebook about this year’s 4syte Music Video Awards nominees announced on October 11 at the Oak Plaza Hotel in Accra.<br /><br />In a facebook post on Sunday, Stonebwoy said he should have been nominated for ‘Best Music Video” and “Best Story Line’ categories. He alleged that the nominations and winning process is not fair as the public sees it. IN the words of the Bhim Nation hitmaker,<br /><br />    “Listen I think I DESERVE to have been nominated for#BestMaleVideo, #BestStoryLine with #NOTAGAIN at this year’s #4SYTEMUSICVIDEO AWARDS @official4SYTETV .. is it because the director wasn’t part of the selection process ?<br />    Being Nominated For a category Well deserved,<br />    Is worth way much more than the award To Me.. because the winning process can always be manipulated..<br />    This is not the first of its kind when it comes to Awards..
