Many know him primarily for starring in movies with adult content and actor, Van Vicker, knows it himself. Not wanting to expose his children to such adult content, Van Vicker says he has banned his three kids, the eldest aged 11, from watching his movies.<br /><br />In an interview with Showbiz last Tuesday, Van Vicker said, “my children will only watch my movies when they are of age but for now, they should enjoy kids programmes and enjoy being kids because that is what they are.”<br /><br />In response to how he was coping with combining parenting with his demanding acting career, the multi talented actor said, “I don’t see parenting as work but rather as a fun thing. Immediately you start seeing it as a chore, it wouldn’t be natural anymore. Parenting comes to me effortlessly.”<br /><br />The Beyonce actor advised the public to stop tagging all entertainers as people with low morals since such assertions could have psychological effects on their families, especially their children.<br /><br />“People need to respect other people’s profession, we cannot all be, lawyers or doctors. Some of us have to be entertainers”.<br /><br />He described an experience he had at the PTA meeting of a particular school in Accra, where a parent made a comment to the effect that he had vowed to discourage his children from becoming entertainers because of the negative habits of entertainers, citing Van Vicker, as one such example, not knowing that Van Vicker’s children were also students at the school.<br /><br />He said such comments had the tendency to have a negative psychological impact on his children, adding that, since children were easily influenced by what they hear, they might even decide not to associate with his (Van Vicker) children.<br /><br />Talking about his breakthrough movie, Beyonce, Van Vicker said he was of the opinion that the movie made a bigger impact outside the country than within it, judging by the number of people in the US and Uk who approached him in the streets to tell him how much they loved the movie.<br /><br />He also talked about his upcoming movie, a romantic comedy, GQ which will feature stars like Nana Ama McBrown, Bismark the Joke and yet to confirmed Omotola.<br /><br />He said Ghanaians should expect a great movie but was quick to add that “it is not for kids, is adult rated”.<br /><br />When asked if he was planning on retiring from acting to focus on directing and producing, his reply was “once an actor always actor.”<br /><br />“The production house is just one of the things I am adding to my empire so my fans can relax, I am not quitting acting to go into producing and directing movies permanently”.<br /><br />In addition to his film production company, Van Vicker is bringing on board his own record label. He told Showbiz that he has discovered a new dancehall artiste he would be introducing to the public soon and so people should watch out.<br /><br />According to the star, he is in collaboration with Ghanaian based UK designer, Tettey Plahar, to bring out his clothing line called Van Vicker Collection.<br />

<br />“It is going to be trendy and fashionable for both men and women,” he said. Van Vicker has starred in many movies both in Ghana and Nigeria such as Beyonce, Divine Love, Darkness of Sorrow, Broken Tears and Royal War.<br />

Making a  movie does not only involves a massive amount of work, 
dedication and patience both from the director and actors, but also the

<b>Ghanaian</b> movie star, <b>Van Vicker</b> has cried out over the recent activities of an impostor he claims has cloned his <b>Facebook</b> page using his exact name and details.<br />

The actor posted a screen shot of his page and the clone on <b>Instagram</b>
 recently with the caption: ‘I don’t know how this is possible but this 
is what I am faced with on face book. my fan page has a clone with my 
EXACT name. letter for letter. He/she had the identical pictures as well
 so I had to change one picture of mine. I thought fb won’t allow same 
names with fan pages?…’<br />

A lot of attention has been focused on entertainers and their social 
media accounts lately after the confusion created over late <b>Nollywood</b> actor, <b>Muna Obiekwe</b>’s death via a fake <b>Twitter</b> account.<br />

ven before hearing of the Shatta Wale-Charterhouse court duel gets proper hearing , another court proceeding is set to grab the headlines in the coming weeks as famed actor, Van Vicker drags online portal, to court for slander.<br /><br />The lawyer for the actor, Egbert Fabille (same lawyer for Charterhouse, in their case against Shatta Wale) is said to have concluded the lawsuit and ready to serve the CEO/Publisher of the website, Paa Kwasi Boakye with the writ.<br /><br />Van’s decision to go to court was necessitated by a publication on the website weeks ago, which stated that the actor had contracted the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia when he went there to shoot the movie, ‘Bendu Sudan’. The story also added that, Ghana’s Foreign Ministry had barred the actor from returning to Ghana.<br /><br />The actor confirmed to Razz Newspaper that, since he made his intentions open about suing the website, he’s had calls from many media persons, pleading for him to drop the case – but he is determined to see the case through in court.<br /><br />He said that, the level of unprofessionalism in the field is becoming unbearable and his pursuance of the case in court may serve as a deterrent to others in the field.<br /><br />According to the actor, he has been a victim of many false stories over the years but he always let them go but this time, he will tackle the matter to its legal conclusion.<br /><br />“All the false stories affect me a lot, but this particular one I must say, has made people to be look at me with so much skepticism. Others make expensive jokes at me when I go to town which is not funny. I waste time explaining myself to people that the Ebola story is bogus when I could be doing something productive,” he lamented.<br /><br />Since the ‘Ebola story’ broke, Van has disclosed how such stories affect not only him, but his kids as well: “I am worried about my kids right now because the same thing happened when they put up a story on Facebook I had an accident and I was possibly going to die,” he said.<br /><br />He recalled that during the said publication, he was out of the country but when his children went to school, they went through some trauma. “People were telling them all sorts of stories and this time too I am afraid they are going to go to school and their friends will probably be keeping their distance from my kids because there is the possibility that they are also infected,” he explained.<br /><br />Speaking to the Paa Kwasi Boakye, he stated that, the story has already been taken down from the website although the story was a satirical piece which is meant for entertainment purposes only. Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has revealed he will sue the website responsible for a recent false publication about him.<br />

 An entertainment online platform reported Tuesday, October 7, that the 
actor contracted the deadly Ebola virus disease while he was in 
Monrovia, Liberia's capital, shooting the sequel to his movie ‘Bendu 
Sudan’.<br />
<br />
 Social media commentary following the publication also suggested that 
Vicker had been quarantined in the Ebola-hit West African country and 
denied access back home to Ghana.<br />
<br />
 Speaking on Starr 103.5 FM Friday, October 10, the ‘Neat Job’ actor said the report affected his family badly.<br />
<br />
 “The worst thing about being popular is when rumours are spread about you for no reason”, he said.<br />
<br />
 “But this was a full blown article. Not a rumour. That’s the most 
disgusting bit of it. Garbage! It was just ridiculous but my worry 
wasn’t really me. My worry was my kids, how they took it.”<br />
<br />
 According to Vicker, his daughter came home from school after the news 
broke to tell him a school mate was asking questions about her father’s 
health.<br />
<br />
 “These things get to my wife. She gets a little more worried than I 
get” and that is why “we will be serving them soon... They can get ready
 to be served”, he declared.<br />
<br />
 Vicker said he is motivated to sue because he wants to promote responsible journalism.<br />
<br />
 “The good thing is not necessarily what I’m going to make from them. 
That is not the primary goal. I want to put a stop to all these false 
stories that go out now and again.<br />
<br />
 "They’ve done it one too many times to me and a number of my other 
colleagues in showbiz. I want them to stop such [journalism]”.<br />
