Board chairman of Ghana Music Awards and C.E.O of entertainment TV station, GHOne, Nii Arytey Hammond, has revealed why the station stopped playing music videos of controversial Ghanaian dance hall act, Shatta Wale.

According to the GHOne boss, it was a decision by the management of the station follwoing his decision to direct insults at him him through a video for a perceived lack of airplay in 2014.

 ‘At GHOne, we don’t show his music video(s). It was a decision by management. Once we took that decision, that decision, we’re moving with it because you can’t insult me and expect me to do what you expect me to do. We have a policy and we’re moving with it,’ he said.

 Shatta Wale, who is one of biggest dance hall acts in Ghana, recorded a 2-minute video in 2014, insulting Nii Aytey while also taking to his Facebook account to blast the TV station....
